MONSTER Gear Swap
Here is your big chance to get into some 'experienced' lacrosse gear for the upcoming season.
Or, clear out your basement of extra gear.
We are set for the MMLL Monster Gear Swap on Sunday, March 21st, 12:00-4:00 at the Lebrun Centre gymnasium in Bedford.
For Sellers, clean out your gear bags and plan to drop off your surplus gear (protective equipment, sticks, heads, shafts, practice jerseys, etc) at the Lebrun Centre between 10:00 and 12:00 on Sunday morning to have it catalogued and priced. For Buyers, get there early (tables will not open before 12:00) for the best selection.

Cancellations at Rockingham Gym for March include this Thursday,
March 4 (School Event), Tuesday, March 16 (March Break), Thursday,March 18 (March Break) and Thursday, March 25 (School Event)- this means that our only Thursday evening in March will be next week, March 11th. So, come out and play: 6-7:00 Novice/ Peewee; 7-8:00 Peewee/Bantam; 8-10:00 Juniors

Lacrosse season kicks off at Rockingham School
Pre-season practices start the week of January 11th at Rockingham School Gym.
Helmets, sticks and gloves are all that is required for now, to work off a little 'rust'.

We are always looking for coaching volunteers for every age level (sometimes just to supervise).
Girls Try Lacrosse Session this Thursday Feb 18th
We are holding another Try Lacrosse session this Thursday evening, 6:30-8:00, for girls only (register at www.trylacrosse.ca )
Unfortunately, for those Novice, Peewee and Bantam players missing your weekly lacrosse fix, you'll have to wait another week, as practice sessions are canceled. We'll be back on the regular schedule, Thursday, February 23rd. Junior practice will go ahead as scheduled this week, 8:00-10:00.
Halifax North West Lacrosse - Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting for Halifax NW will be held in the Rockingham School Library, Tuesday, February 16th, 8:00-9:00pm.
All members are welcome.
2010 Lacrosse Referee Clinics
Want to be a Lacrosse Referee?
We are encouraging all interested - age 16 and older (ages 14 and 15 by special request)- to take a Lacrosse referee clinic – more local area referees are needed and it is a great way to understand the game better as well!

The 'Try Lacrosse' program kicks of in 2010 at Rockingham School on Thursday February 4th, 6:00-7:30 pm (please note there will be no open Gym time this week for Novice/ Peewee/ Bantam due to Try Lacrosse).
President's Message
Welcome to another Lacrosse season!
The year 2010 is a big one for lacrosse and our focus is again, on growing our national summer sport. Canada defends its title at the FIL World Lacrosse Championship in Manchester, England in July, and, closer to home, we celebrate the return of Colin Doyle and televised Toronto Rock games on TSN2.
We start our North West Lacrosse season with pre-season sessions at Rockingham Gym every Tuesday and Thursday night (see Schedule for times and age levels ).

Northwest Rebels Lacrosse - Opportunities:
The huge success of the Rebels association is from a combined effort of players, coaches, managers, officials, executives, parents and fans!
With the continued year to year change in our membership as new Tykes enter the game and our Juniors move on to new challenges, we need to expand our group of volunteers.
